NETworX classes to address poverty

February 9, 2021

MORVEN — NETworX Anson will begin virtual classes to help build up the community and holistically address poverty on Feb. 23.

The non-profit opened registration for participants who are interested in attending the class. The class will meet on Zoom once a week for about 12 to 18 weeks. Tablets will be provided for the class to ensure all students have online access to Zoom.

“The foundation of NETworX Anson is the classes and we are happy to have reached this point in the initiative,” Devin Pettiford, organization’s site coordinator, said. “I am eager to see the growth that participants experience and programs that we will develop based on those results.”

NETworX Anson was founded in 2019 to address community poverty in all of its aspects. The organization operated under HOLLA! located in Morven.

Davi Trotti and Heather McIntyre will lead class discussions and will act as coaches. The class will focus on self-care, relationship building and goal achievement. Graduates of the class will have the opportunity to serve as a board member for NETworX Anson.

Those who wish to participate in the class will go through an entrance interview to determine if the class will be an adequate resource to them.

If interested in enrolling, contact Pettiford at devinpettiford@gmail.com. Registration ends on Feb. 22.
